Sergio Rico’s state of health continues to improve day after day. The Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper has been hospitalized at the Virgen del Rocío hospital in Seville, after he suffered a horse accident in El Rocío on May 28, which caused him a head injury.

The first days after his admission were filled with many worries and a great unknown, since the news about the goalkeeper’s evolution arrived by drops. Only his wife, Alba Silva, was the only one who, very kindly, attended the press to give the last minute of the soccer player.

After several weeks of uncertainty and anguish on the part of the family, the Sevillian woman revealed that her husband had woken up from a coma and could communicate. From this moment the good news began to arrive and the goalkeeper evolved favorably, managing to be transferred to the plant, where he continues to recover.

During these days, there has been much speculation about the final date on which the doctors will discharge him from the hospital. Something that is still up in the air and that seems to have been delayed longer than expected. Alba Silva, who has not wanted to be separated from her for a moment on her husband’s side, has once again been in charge of communicating to the press how the Spanish goalkeeper continues to evolve.

Alba Silva has once again declared before the cameras of the EuropaPress medium, where she wanted to explain that, despite the great evolution she is having, her husband still has several weeks left in the hospital. Although she stressed that her greatest joy has been that Rico came out of the ICU.

”He is on the ward, little by little, slowly, but trying to improve a little every day,” he declared. ”He has to recover 100%,” he added. Regarding the date of discharge, Alba Silva assured: “Hopefully soon, but for now he has to stay here until he is completely perfect.”

And it is that the goalkeeper is in the process of rehabilitation, doing continuous exercises with a physiotherapist. Information that they have also told in the Antena 3 program Y ahora Sonsoles, and where they have revealed that the footballer’s state of mind is good, although the goalkeeper’s loss of muscle mass has been one of the drawbacks for which the football player has not yet been discharged.
