Lady Gaga to headline Coachella 2017, replacing Beyonce, Billboard reports

Lady Gaga will replace Beyonce at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, according to a report from Billboard.

The deal comes just under a week after Beyonce announced she had to back out of headlining the 2017 festival because of her pregnancy. She planned to return to headline Coachella in 2018.

Gaga, who headlined the halftime show at the Super Bowl earlier in February, planned a world tour around her new album “Joanne” to start later this year.

Tickets are sold out for the 2017 festival, which takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio April 14-16 and April 21-23.

If the deal comes to fruition, Lady Gaga will perform in Beyonce’s Saturday night headlining spot, April 15 and 22.

Other headliners are Radiohead on the Friday and Kendrick Lamar on Sunday. Notable performers include Father John misty, Future, DJ Khaled, Lorde and more.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Coachella had not updated the lineup poster on its website, which still listed Beyonce.
