The debate on surrogacy has been the order of the day in recent months, especially since it became known that Ana Obregón had brought her daughter/granddaughter Ana Sandra into the world through this method. The truth is that there are many celebrities who have welcomed their children through surrogates, one of them Khloé Kardashian. The younger sister of Kim and Kourtney has opened up about her second child, Tatum, born through this method, in the new season of The Kardashians, the reality starring the famous family. The model claims to have connection problems with the child.
This Thursday the third season of the reality show of one of the most recognized families on the planet premiered in the United States. The Kardashian ‘clan’ arrives with new adventures and new confessions, but if one has attracted attention in particular, it has been that of Khloé. The influencer has opened up about her second son, Tatum, whose father is basketball player Tristan Thompson. The little one came into this world in July 2022 through a surrogate mother. The model received a lot of criticism after posing with the baby “playing the newborn” in a hospital bed.
The international press echoed that image, and the older sister of Kendall and Kylie Jenner was the focus of thousands of negative comments on social networks. “I really felt guilty that this woman had just had my baby,” she now expresses in the new installment of the series. “I took the baby, and I went to another room. It was like something separate [from reality]. I experienced it as a mere [economic] transaction,” she expresses during the first chapter.
Khloé now says that she feels bad because “this has nothing to do with him [the baby]”, but that she is still “in shock” from having gone through the experience of surrogacy. The model assures that he has “less connection” with the little one because of this method. “I definitely buried my head in the ground during that pregnancy, so I didn’t digest what was happening,” she said in her statement.
“I think when I went to the hospital it was the first time I really registered it in my head. I wish someone would be honest about surrogacy and the difference [with natural motherhood],” he said, clarifying that he does not believe that having a child by surrogate mother, something legal in the United States, be bad. “It’s still great, but it’s so different,” she expressed.
“It just blows my mind. It really is the strangest thing [I’ve ever experienced],” Khloé confessed to her sister Kim and her ex-brother-in-law, businessman Scott Disick. The latter asked her if she felt less connected with her son than with her daughter True Thompson, born in April 2018. True was given birth by the model. These statements have given rise to a large amount of criticism on social networks. “I hallucinate with this rich family,” says a tweeter. Others show that after “buying” the baby she makes these statements.
On the other hand, there are those who have wanted to assess that he has decided to take a step forward and express that there is a lack of information on this subject. “You have to remember that what Khloé Kardashian says, a well-known figure, is very important. Let’s see if they stop buying babies, exploiting women and painting it as if it were the most beautiful thing in the world,” said a user.
