The Princess of Wales announced today, Friday, March 22, that she had been diagnosed with cancer. After weeks of speculation and rumors about her health, Kensington Palace decided to put an end to all the gossip about Kate Middleton by publishing a video on its social networks in which the 42-year-old princess revealed the great mystery.

In the video, recorded entirely in the gardens near Windsor Palace, near her residence, Catherine of Wales communicates that after undergoing an abdominal operation in mid-January and after undergoing several tests, doctors had discovered that she had cancer and that He was already receiving “preventive” chemotherapy.

”I wanted to take this opportunity to personally thank you for all the wonderful messages of support and your understanding while I recovered from surgery. “It has been an incredibly difficult couple of months for our entire family, but I have had a fantastic medical team who have taken very good care of me, for which I am very grateful,” she began by saying.

”In January I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time my condition was thought to be non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, subsequent tests discovered that there was cancer. Therefore, my medical team recommended that I should undergo preventive chemotherapy treatment and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,’ he continued.

”This, of course, was a huge shock and Guillermo and I have been doing our best to process and manage this privately, for the sake of our young family. As you can imagine, this has taken a while. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery to begin my treatment. But the most important thing is that it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis, in a way that is appropriate for them and assure them that I am going to be fine,” declared Kate Middleton.

”As I’ve told you, I’m doing well and I’m getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that would help me heal, in my mind, body and spirit. Having William by my side is also a great source of comfort and peace of mind. As has the love, support and kindness that many of you have shown. It means a lot to both of us. I hope you understand now, that as a family, we need time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment.

”My work has always brought me a deep feeling of joy and I look forward to being back when possible, but, for now, I must focus on making a full recovery. Right now I am also thinking about all those people whose lives have been affected by cancer. To everyone who is fighting this disease, in whatever form, please do not lose faith and hope. You are not alone,” concluded the Princess of Wales.
