Fran Rivera has become one of the great protagonists of current affairs in the gossip press. The bullfighter reappeared on television this past Friday, December 15, granting an interview on the Telecinco program ¡De Viernes!, where he wanted to talk at length about all the controversies that have surrounded his family all these years.

The right-hander, without mincing words, opened up about the bad relationship he has always had with his father’s wife, Isabel Pantoja. ”He’s not a good person, he’s not a good person (…) It’s from ‘The Widow of Spain’, well… How many relationships have you had since my father died? I wouldn’t like to be in his shoes the day he dies and my father is found,’ he said.

But the bullfighter was not only very harsh with the tonadillera, he also wanted to dedicate several words to his brothers Julián Contreras and Kiko Rivera, with whom he barely has a relationship. ”I don’t talk to Julián and Kiko. One gets tired of trying and trying. We have different educations. Let each one look for a life,’ he declared.

In addition, the right-hander also wanted to remember one of his most complicated episodes: the death of his mother, Carmina Ordoñez, in 2004 and his drug addiction. ”My mother couldn’t get out of there. I miss her very much. I prefer that he went to see her as she was in the last period,’ the bullfighter confessed.

The right-hander’s harsh words have completely revolutionized the current Spanish panorama and, above all, the atmosphere in the entire Rivera family. Therefore, the first reactions to the interview have not been long in coming. One of those who did not want to remain silent was Julián Contreras, who this Monday responded on the Espejo Publico program to the harsh statements of his brother.

”I find it incredible to read and hear certain things he is saying. Are you now aware of what happened to our mother? At good hours. I have gone through a social ordeal to position myself and raise my voice. He arrives late and badly, only to bring a speech without the slightest self-criticism or regret. It’s shameful,” said Carmina Ordoñez’s little son.

”Julián does not understand how his brother talks about the issue of drugs when he never spoke to a doctor, nor was he interested,’ said journalist Gema López. ”He should have been more informed about what happened to his mother to be able to talk about the problem he had. That is the pain that Julián has right now,” the collaborator added.
