Julia Fox is facing an unexpected situation that, although it has nothing to do with the actress, has nothing to do with her family, since her father and brother were arrested last Wednesday at their home after the New York police found evidence of that both would have been manufacturing drugs inside.
The local security forces entered the house on the Upper East Side in New York where Christopher and Thomas Fox reside after a long investigation into a matter of missing weapons, and they found the unexpected drug laboratory in true Breaking Bad style.
According to the NYPost, the two men were inside the apartment, from where they left handcuffed and escorted by the police after sufficient evidence of the crimes with which they were charged was found. Inside the place were found, among other things, weapons without registered serial numbers, parts obtained from 3D printers for the manufacture of weapons; in addition to unidentified substances, possibly homemade, since the necessary tools for it were also found. Among others, antidepressant-type pills, fentanyl, chloroform, heroin, propane and materials normally used to make explosives.
On top of all that, thousands of dollars worth of high-end bottles of wine were also found. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Christopher would have made a considerable fortune selling illegal weapon parts from his apartment since at least 2019, which apparently also functioned as a drug sales point.
At the moment, the two have gone to court, with a bail of 450,000 dollars and the order for the delivery of their passports.
Julia Fox has not yet commented on what happened, but she has spoken about what it was like to grow up with her father and brother, whom she considered a “mad scientist” since she was very young.
This is how he told it in an interview with Highsnobiety, revealing that his brother had always been a rather introverted person, and that despite living together, he rarely saw him at home because he spent the day in his room doing experiments: “He’s like a Mad scientist, a recluse. He builds 3D printers for fun,” he said at the time.
