The club of the offended returned this Sunday to La Roca, the program presented by Nuria Roca on the Sixth, with Juan del Val as the protagonist. During this section, the journalist confronts those who felt offended by his comments on various topics. This week they played cashews, some nuts that Del Val described as “shit.”
To respond to this harsh statement, the program had the telematic presence of Raúl Díaz, a worker at a dried fruit company, whom Nuria Roca had to stop to defend her husband. But, despite this gesture, the writer reproached his wife for having lied directly to the guest, something that upset those present.
“The cashew sector has become angry that you cannot even imagine. Well, you don’t have to imagine it, because they’re going to kill you,” Nuria Roca announced to Juan del Val. Then, the presenter gave way to Raúl Díaz, a worker at a dried fruit company where 80% of his production is cashew nuts.
“If you let me talk… We have been dedicating ourselves to the preparation and sale of nuts for 24 years […] This comment seems unnecessary to us,” the guest blurted out angrily. To which Nuria Roca added, she put on the table that “50 families” live off the production of these nuts.
“Do you know what happens?” Díaz continued, “that I can come to understand that, just as there are things that I don’t like, neither does Juan. Like everyone, he is respectable. What strikes me is that a person who is dedicated to this medium and who supposedly has some tables and a vocabulary goes towards my work like a fucking piece of shit”.
Here the presenter quickly intervened to deny this last statement and to defend her husband: “No, no, no! Wait, Raúl… she Said it was bullshit. The other did not say it ”.
Then, Díaz gave the writer a piece of advice: “He said that he couldn’t think of another word to say. I think it’s because he doesn’t know that cashews reactivate brain functions. Even if he takes one, he finds the right words ”.
At the end of the connection, the presenter wanted to congratulate Raúl Díaz and his nut company, specialists in cashew nuts, for the work they do. “I’m going to buy the cashews only from you, that you know,” she assured him.
After saying goodbye to the guest, Nuria Roca said to her husband: “Okay, Juan, you can go back to your place.” But when he got up from the sofa, he did not hesitate to make a monumental reproach to her wife, calling her lying to the guest.
“I find Nuria unfortunate. She hasn’t eaten a cashew nut in her life, she doesn’t like cashews, she doesn’t buy cashews… ”, he snapped in the most indignant way, exposing the journalist. To which the presenter silenced him with a “Come on, come on, please!”, While she pointed out her place.
