Núria Roca and Juan de Val form one of the most dynamic tandems on Spanish television. The two journalists and television collaborators have been married for more than 25 years and starring in scenes and lively discussions on the different sets of Atresmedia, whether on Antena 3 or La Sexta. And beyond coinciding with Núria’s own program, La Roca, they are also two of the four participants in the current affairs gathering on El Hormiguero.
As has been tradition every Thursday, the couple has been part of this space along with the presenter Pablo Motos, Cristina Pardo and Tamara Falcó. However, the first current topic has been related to the duo, and not exactly a friendly one. According to what they said, de Val had stopped following his wife through Instagram, and his reasons were discussed for several minutes on the set of San Sebastián de los Reyes.
In Juan de Val’s own words, for the last three years he has tried to share a very heartfelt photograph of the couple on Instagram, encountering Núria’s refusal and some alleged rights problems. His intention ended up becoming a wish: the idea of ??publishing the image coinciding with the 25th anniversary of her marriage. Surprisingly, Roca insisted that she couldn’t do it and that she should give up.
But there was still one last twist missing, and that is that Núria Roca herself would end up sharing that same photograph on the day of her 25th anniversary, frustrating her husband’s plans. Her immediate response was to stop following her on social networks, a movement that the presenter did not detect until some time later. Tamara Falcó caught Núria’s intention immediately, deducing that it was an anniversary surprise that she tried not to frustrate.
It is not the first time that Roca and de Val have had a striking clash. One of the last took place in the Catalan program on La Sexta, when the “controversial” collaborator of El Hormiguero said that the marriage proposals were sexist: “That thing is also done, sorry, enormously sexist and retrograde. Suddenly, the boyfriend, who is an idiot, in this case, me. No no! I’m not talking about Almeida, I’m talking about my marriage proposal. Could there be anything more funny?
The man from Madrid confessed that, as a marriage proposal, Núria Roca gave him a watch, acknowledging that he liked it. “It’s true that Nuria gave me a beautiful watch,” he commented, just before finding a completely opposite response from his wife: “I don’t think I’ve ever given a uglier gift in my life.” The comment generated multiple laughs during the broadcast of the program.
