2024 is undoubtedly going to be a great year for José Luis Martínez-Almeida and his girlfriend, Teresa Urquijo. The couple has been in the media spotlight for several months and there had been much speculation that both had decided to take their relationship a step further and formalize their commitment.
The mayor of Madrid and the Madrid analyst have tried to keep their courtship very discreet, even though they have been seen at bullfights or at different events. And although they have tried to go unnoticed, the truth is that their courtship has given a lot of talk throughout 2023. After the official confirmation of the relationship, several rumors began to emerge claiming that the couple was going to walk down the aisle in 2024.
Until now, little else had emerged about the couple’s wedding plans, but this Wednesday, Semana magazine revealed new information about this highly anticipated wedding, such as the date chosen for the big event.
According to the aforementioned media, several sources close to the couple have been able to confirm that José Luis Martínez-Almeida and Teresa Urquijo will say “I do” on April 6. The wedding will take place in a religious ceremony and the subsequent celebration will take place on a farm on the outskirts of Madrid, owned by Teresa Urquijo’s family.
The emblematic place chosen to celebrate the wedding reception has great meaning for the 26-year-old analyst’s family. This is the farm ‘El canto de la cruz’, located in the Madrid municipality of Colmenar Viejo, just half an hour from the capital. This estate belonged to Teresa Urquijo’s maternal grandmother, Teresa of Borbón-Dos Sicilias y Borbón-Parma, cousin of Juan Carlos I and sister of the previous Duke of Calabria.
In this way, the couple is now completely immersed in the preparations for what will be one of the great weddings of the year and with which they will be able to put the finishing touch to their beautiful love story after almost two years of relationship.
