Jorge Javier reveals the secret collaboration he has pending with Isabel Pantoja: "I'll leave it there"

There are just over 24 hours left for Jorge Javier Vázquez to return to the small screen of our country, a place from which, according to many of his fans, he should never have left. Tomorrow, Thursday, March 7, a new edition of Survivors will begin with the Catalan in charge and we will be able to witness the helicopter jumps of personalities such as Pedro García Aguado, Carmen Borrego, Ángel Cristo Jr. or Javier Ungría.

In the blog he writes for the magazine Lecturas, the philologist has reflected on everything he has experienced since he began presenting the Mediaset format and has confessed that it all started with a call from Paolo Vasile that left him ”heartbroken”.

In the text he has written, Vázquez has recalled that the first edition he presented (in 2011) had Kiko Rivera as the star contestant and that, in a moment of weakness, Isabel Pantoja came in by phone to encourage him and ask him that he would not abandon. Days later, Rivera decided to leave the reality show and her mother came to the set to welcome him.

With this television ‘moment’, Anabel Pantoja’s aunt put an end to the war she had with the network. The relationship improved to such a point that she even gave the New Year’s Eve Chimes with the host of Sálvame and her son.

The participation of the singer from Marinero de Luces, Se me enamora el alma, Así fue and Hoy Quiero Conconfesar in the survival contest five years ago set audience records and led to a new rapprochement with the communication group. However, Pantoja’s relationship with Mediaset broke down again when some of the house’s programs touched on sensitive topics for Agustín Pantoja’s sister.

”I haven’t gotten along with Isabel since the strip. But I am convinced that we will meet again. We have a pending professional collaboration. Our own reality. I’ll leave it there,” the Catalan confessed in a comical tone, dropping that in the past they talked about doing a project together.

Looking ahead to next Thursday, Vázquez has acknowledged that he feels nervous, but also excited and eager. The communicator thanked the former producer of the program for his work and commented that he is delighted to be working with Raúl Prieto again: ”It makes me very happy that he directs me. It’s like coming home in this new stage of my life.”

”I wanted to return to my house even though it was no longer the same,” stated Belén Esteban’s friend, implying that he will face the program with great respect and professionalism and that he will leave aside his differences with the leadership that canceled Save me and Chinese stories.

Looking ahead to next Thursday, V
