Today, the musician’s bandmates confirmed their sad news.

They posted on Facebook: “We are saddened by the news about our brother Johnny Solinger.

Solinger spoke to fans about his May health battle.

He wrote in a post on social media that he felt the need to let everyone know about his health and what was going on.

“I was hospitalized for the past month.

“I was diagnosed with liver disease. The prognosis for me is not good.

“I don’t have health insurance, and it is very difficult to get the proper care.

He stated that he was taking “at least seven different drugs” and that he needed fluid to drain from his abdomen every two days.

He stated that he had lost a lot strength and would need physical therapy.

He said that he had to start fundraising to pay his medical bills and palliative treatment.

He said, “I wouldn’t be asking you all of this if it wasn’t necessary for me to have the help I need.”

“I appreciate you all and want to keep you all in my thoughts and send me all of the healing vibes that you can. However, I am easily exhausted so please don’t call me or text me unless absolutely necessary.

“But please, if I can help you in this difficult time, it will be greatly appreciated.”

“Love you all.”

Skid Row’s lead vocalist, Solinger rose to prominence in 1999 when the band was reformed.

They had split before Sebastian Bach left in 1996.

This musician was featured on two albums and two EPs of the band before he left in April 2015. Tony Harnell, TNT’s singer, replaced him. He resigned eight months later.

Solinger claimed that he had left the band to pursue solo work. However, the band claimed that he was fired.

According to reports, he was married to Paula Marcenaro Solinger (the couple got married in 2011).
