Joana Sanz turns 31 this June 9, and she does so as a single woman after announcing her separation from her husband, Dani Alves, last March. The Brazilian international has been incarcerated in the Brians 2 prison since he was arrested on January 20, after being accused of raping a 23-year-old girl in the toilets of a nightclub in Barcelona on the night of December 30.
Thus, the woman from Tenerife faces this first birthday alone, although surrounded by her friends, her true support during all these difficult months dealing with the pressure of the media spotlight. However, the model could not help but miss someone with whom she would like to be in these very special moments: her mother, who died of cancer a week before the arrest of her husband.
To remember her, the woman from Tenerife shared a message through her Instagram Stories that her mother sent her in the past, where she congratulated her on her birthday and even sent her an audio in which she can be heard singing the classic Happy Birthday to her. A message that we do not doubt will have brought tears to the model, who was very close to her mother.
Proof of the emotion that Sanz was probably feeling was the image that he shared with his followers immediately after, in which he can be seen precisely with his mother, being just a girl. The canary also writes a message in which she makes it clear how much she misses her: “I wish I could hug you now.”
The model’s mother died just a few days before her husband’s arrest. She herself announced it on her social networks on January 12, denouncing how terrible the last days of the woman were due to her illness and the administrative complications of public health.
“It seems that due to his mental illness, it was not worth saving his life. I hope you enjoyed Christmas with my taxes while my mother, like many others, was slowly dying while waiting for an operation,” he wrote on his networks. .
A birthday that will probably be somewhat bittersweet for the model, who despite having the support and affection of all her friends, has to deal with the absence of two of the people she has trusted the most in her life. Her mother has passed away and unfortunately she cannot count on her, while her husband is still in prison.
The woman from Tenerife has been overcome by the situation for months, and a few days ago she revealed that she still believes in Alves’ innocence. “There hasn’t been a trial yet, we can’t convict him.”
Whether Alves will congratulate her on her birthday is not yet known, although the two speak on the phone daily. However, it is an important day for the Brazilian for another reason, as the third section of the Barcelona Court will hold a hearing this Friday at 11:00 a.m. to discuss the preventive detention of Dani Alves after the appeal filed by his defense in the one who requests her release, which is opposed by both the Prosecutor’s Office and the private prosecution representing the young woman.
The visit will be behind closed doors and without the presence of the footballer either physically or virtually, so that only the Public Ministry and the legal teams of the parties will participate in it.
