However, it seems that not everything is good news for the lawyer. This Monday, Espejo Público has revealed that the mayor has suffered a robbery in his car in front of his house. An act that occurred when he was elsewhere, and members of his security team had left the vehicle to run some errands.
“He is a politician who has recently taken office and who commands a lot,” they have begun to recount in the aforementioned program. And it is that none of those present on the set could imagine that it was the mayor of Barcelona. “He is one of the safest vehicles,” they have assured.
Despite this, the theft could not be prevented. While he was parked at the door of Jaume Collboni’s home, the assailants took advantage of the fact that the politician’s security team was not present to act. “They broke the right window,” they added.
The robbery took place on August 4 and occurred when the mayor’s bodyguards were carrying out a night watch around his home, according to what city council sources have explained to La Vanguardia.
Once they had access to the interior, the assailants extracted the agents’ two backpacks, with their personal belongings. A pistol cartridge with 13 bullets and one of the badges of one of the agents. But that is not all. The most surprising thing is that they did not hesitate to take lunch from one of them: a sandwich.
The information that has reached this medium ensures that everything stolen was recovered a few hours after the event. A person found the backpacks in a building in Sant Adrià de Besòs, and did not hesitate to send them to the Mossos.
The investigation remains open and the police are searching for the assailants. “The police are combing the area of ??the Mine and have identified the thieves because they were recorded by security cameras,” said the Espejo Público reporter. “They belong to a gang that is dedicated to car thefts,” she added.
