Jannat Zubair reacts with a ‘why not’ to ‘Phulwa’ returning on TV: ‘These shows are iconic’

Mumbai, June 9 (SocialNews.XYZ) – Actress Jannat Zubair, known for her role in ‘Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment’, has expressed her desire for the iconic show ‘Phulwa’ to make a comeback on the small screen.

Jannat, who started her acting career as a child artist in social dramas like ‘Kashi – Ab Na Rahe Tera Kagaz Kora’ and ‘Phulwa’ in 2010 and 2011 respectively, shared her thoughts on the possibility of ‘Phulwa’ returning. She stated, “Why not? These shows are iconic. People even today talk about ‘Balika Vadhu’, ‘Na Aana Is Des Laado’, and ‘Phulwa’ after so many years.”

The actress mentioned that she is still recognized as Phulwa by her fans, showcasing the lasting impact of the show. She expressed her hope for the creation of similar shows in the future, emphasizing the fan frenzy that would ensue with the return of ‘Phulwa 2’ or ‘Balika Vadhu 2’.

‘Phulwa’ was a show set in the Chambal forest near Morena, Madhya Pradesh, loosely inspired by the life of Phoolan Devi. The narrative followed the story of a village girl navigating life in a bandit-infested region of India.

Apart from ‘Phulwa’, Jannat has been a part of shows like ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap’ and ‘Tu Aashiqui’. She has also made appearances in movies like ‘Hichki’ alongside Rani Mukerji and reality shows like ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12’. Notably, she was recognized in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2022 under the ‘Media, Marketing and Advertising’ category.

As Jannat Zubair reminisces about her time on ‘Phulwa’ and looks towards the future of Indian television, fans eagerly await the potential return of this beloved show.
