Radio Televisión Española will see the return of two familiar faces starting this summer. The public entity continues to make progress in the coming months and, in particular, preparing for the next season starting in September. That is why the chain has decided to rescue two figures with some previous experience on RTVE channels, to deal with two programs that can be seen in the short and medium term.
These are Jaime Cantizano and Jordi González, who abandoned the public television ship in 2021 and 2000, respectively. Both will receive very different tasks, but with which the entity hopes to collect interesting data from audiences. Cantizano has been chosen to be the new face of La 1 mornings, with a program that will premiere in September; while González will be responsible for the Blood Ties debates.
The man from Jerez will occupy the new morning slot of the main Spanish Television channel, with a program that will be broadcast starting at 10 in the morning. The format will include both reports and live connections, with the aim of telling current stories thanks to a large team of reporters, collaborators and protagonists. In addition, it will offer information in real time from the points of origin of the news, with an agile, relaxed and close tone.
For his part, the man from Barcelona will be in charge of directing the debates in what will be the sixth season of Blood Ties. On the fifth anniversary of the documentary series, González will have the support of various figures and collaborators, regulars and new ones, in order to analyze the contents of the pieces in depth. In this way, the Catalan becomes the fourth presenter of the format after Inés Ballester, Boris Izaguirre and Carolina Casado.
Jaime Cantizano, a veteran of the national screens, had already stepped on Radio Televisión Española on a few occasions. While Jordi González will present the debates, the one from Jerez de la Frontera was an occasional collaborator of Lazos de sangre in its fourth season, in 2021. In addition to that, he has also participated in projects such as Mira quien baila, Jugando con las estrellas, Objective Eurovisión 2017 or Hit-The song.
Regarding González, his career as a presenter and collaborator in the world of television is one of the most valued in the country. He had not been on Televisión Española for 23 years, when with the arrival of the new millennium he directed the program La escalador escalador. Before that, the public channel was the one that made the Catalan debut in 1990, with his participation in 3×4 and La Palmera.
