The Rubiales case has reached all social strata. There is not a single person in our country who has not found out about the kiss that the (already dismissed by FIFA) president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation gave to the player Jenni Hermoso after the Spanish women’s football team won the World Cup against England in Australia.
The controversy is based on whether or not there was consent in the ‘pico’ that the soccer manager gave the soccer player. While Rubiales assured in a press conference that he had expressly asked the player for permission, she flatly denied these statements and accused the man of lying.
During these weeks, dozens of public figures are positioning themselves and talking about the issue. Itziar Castro was one of the first actresses who showed her support for Jenni Hermoso in networks, a position that she confirmed yesterday in person at the premiere of the movie El Juego. The artist, who considers herself a friend of the soccer player, explained that Hermoso is having a very bad time because she is not used to being the center of attention and that she is very grateful for the affection of the people: “There are many of us who are close by ”.
Regarding Rubiales’ statements attacking false feminism, Castro wanted to make it clear that it is a dangerous discourse that has no foundation. “There is only one thing: either you are a feminist or you are a macho. There are people who say ‘I am not a feminist, but I am not a macho’. If you are not a macho, the opposite is to be a feminist. Feminism wants equality between men and women, equality of chances, you are neither more nor less, but you are macho. End of the date”, sentenced the actress from Pieles visibly indignant.
After answering the questions from the different media and from the journalists present at the event’s photocall, the Catalan artist met another professional colleague, Fernando Tejero, who did not hesitate to greet her cheerfully, since they share a beautiful relationship of friendship and they are very fond of each other.
Castro took advantage of this moment of complicity and full confidence in his friend to tell the cameras that now “they were going to see a spike with consent.” Next, the two protagonists proceeded to give each other a little kiss. The funny moment ended in laughter and the fans of both actors thanked the network for the moment full of sense of humor in the midst of so much controversy and social tension.
