Anything can happen during the broadcast of La Resistencia, the interview, humor and entertainment program presented by David Broncano on Movistar Plus. Every night, dozens of people witness live some of the most surreal situations experienced at the Príncipe Gran Vía Theater in Madrid.
However, on this occasion, the anecdote of the evening occurred minutes before the start of the recording of the program. That is, in what they call the preshow, where spectators who come to the theater enjoy the atmosphere thanks to team members like Sergio Bezos. That’s when a young man got down on one knee and asked his girlfriend to marry him. Shortly after her, Broncano wanted to talk to her and put her on the spot.
The applauded request for a hand in the box of seats at La Resistencia came to light because Sergio Bezos, one of the program’s collaborators, told David Broncano about it once the space began. “They asked her to marry him here in the preshow. He has been a little crazy,” she explained to the presenter as he pointed to the young woman who was next to her in the ball pit.
“And what did he say to you?” the presenter wanted to know. “I told him yes,” answered the protagonist of this story as she drew applause from the audience present in the theater. Then, the program aired a video of the wedding moment, since this occurred shortly before the start of the program.
“We have been together for almost four years,” the viewer explained when asked by Broncano about their relationship. In fact, the comedian asked her to say a few words, but the young woman was embarrassed to death. “Say what comes to mind, something light,” the presenter insisted, “I know you’re having a hard time, but think about the people of Spain.”
“This is being horrible, I didn’t expect it at all,” the girl said, laughing. “The marriage is going to last, eh?” Bezos predicted in response to the viewer’s statement. “He is my future ex-husband,” she blurted out as Broncano put his hands on his head and began the evening’s broadcast. “Congratulations to you both,” she told them before starting the program.
