Isabel Preysler, single and forceful: "I don't feel like it"

About to turn 73 years old and, for the first time since he came of age, enjoying his singleness. Isabel Preysler’s heart has been empty since she ended her relationship with Mario Vargas Llosa, and as she has been saying all this year, she couldn’t be more delighted.

The socialite attended the opening of her friend Maribel Yébenes’ beauty center last Friday, and there she made it clear that she is relaxed, calm and taking advantage of this new experience in her love life like never before.

Even so, Isabel insists once again that she does not have a partner. She stated it again to ¡Hola! magazine, to whom she reiterated that “I am not seeing anyone.” Of course, not because she doesn’t have candidates, but because she doesn’t feel like it.

“I’m not seeing myself. I don’t feel like it either, I’m fine the way I am,” he says.

Of course, even though she has confirmed actively and passively that there are no new boyfriends at all, throughout the year there have been those who have assigned her companions of all kinds. It seems that the concept of “single Isabel Preysler” doesn’t fit for some, so she always has to be paired with some gentleman.

The most famous, Alfonso Díez, widower of the Duchess of Alba, with whom the socialite could be seen on several occasions. Although both denied maintaining more than a friendship, the rumors did not stop happening. It was Isabel herself who had to settle the issue last September: “I like him very much but he is just a friend.”

In this new stage, Isabel Preysler is making the most of her daily life. The socialite will soon be a grandmother again for her daughter, Ana Boyer, who is expecting her third child with her husband, Fernando Verdasco. She has just returned from spending Christmas in the United States, where she has seen her older children; and she spends her daily life very close to Tamara, who recently moved into her new house, just a few minutes from her home.

“She is delighted, she is making her plans. She is at her own pace…”, noted her daughter, Tamara Falcó, in one of her collaborations in El Hormiguero last fall. “She doesn’t want to be overwhelmed, she says that for once she can decide for herself. She is very happy.”
