Unless it’s the Halloween season, no one wants to have every corner of their house covered in cobwebs. However, they insist on appearing and it seems that one does not realize it until one looks at a corner of the ceiling of the room and sees a huge one, one of those that seem to come out of nowhere. Cobwebs in country houses are a frequent problem, but city homes are by no means exempt from them. There will be no choice but to clean them periodically, unless the spiders can be repelled as a preventive measure.

One of the main causes of these small homes of insects to accumulate in the rooms of the house is that cleaning the ceiling is not usually part of the routine. The kitchen, the floors, the surfaces, the crystals, all of them are shiny when it is time to clean. But the ceilings and walls are usually the great forgotten. If cobwebs are found in them, these are the proper ways to clean them.

Although it may be a bit lazy, because it seems cumbersome, the reality is that cleaning cobwebs from ceilings and walls is a very simple task and it will only take a few minutes. And the house will put aside that dirty and neglected appearance that they cause. Although there are different methods to get rid of them, there are two basic and simple ones that never fail.

The first of them is as simple as arming yourself with the vacuum cleaner and using the longest tube that you have available among your accessories to reach the corner where the spider web is located. You can also use those that do not have cables or are of the broom type. Fast and easy.

The other option assumes the foolproof method. Everyone has, or should, a broom or mop at home. Well, all you have to do is wrap it in a slightly damp cloth to catch all the cobwebs. Thus the nooks and corners of the ceilings and walls will remain spotless.

Once those nooks that represent the spiders’ favorite place to create their nests are identified, prevention strategies to prevent them from appearing will be very simple. An effective formula is simply to spray a mixture of vinegar and water in those corners. The smell will scare these insects away. They are also enemies of mint essential oil. More natural alternatives to resorting to insecticide, although it is another option.

Do not forget to be careful with places that are easier to access and that are a perfect hiding place for spiders, for example, cracks in the walls and ceiling. It is important to cover them with putty so that they do not settle in them.
