The alarms went off on Monday morning after Pablo Motos announced on social networks that he had had to undergo emergency surgery after suffering a triceps fracture. The presenter of El Hormiguero came out to explain himself to the viewers of Antena 3 in a highly anticipated intervention.
“I have broken 90% of my triceps and they had to operate urgently. When I came out of anesthesia, without really knowing where I was, my wife told me to stand up and she took this photo of me. Now she calls me” Supermanco”. Tonight I’ll tell you everything. What a scare,” he announced.
After announcing the visit of the influencer Marta DÃaz and the comedian gathering, the Valencian wanted to explain to everyone for appearing on camera with his arm in a sling. Far from taking a few days off, the program has confirmed that he will work normally for the next few days.
“I have to tell you something personal that is noticeable. On Friday practicing boxing I broke 90% of my triceps… it is a very serious breakdown, as there was only a thread holding the muscle, I had to have emergency surgery,” he began by saying.
“I’m still a bit affected because from there everything starts to happen very quickly and it’s been a miracle,” he confessed. “Once again, and I want to say it in public, Dr. Ãngel Villamor has saved my life”, of which he wanted to emphasize that he is a “very kind” person.
“If it wasn’t for him, he could have lost all the strength in his arm forever and part of his mobility,” he assured everyone. After this gesture, he wanted to thank him in front of millions of people: “You are going to allow me to send all my thanks to Ãngel Villamor and his entire team from here.”
But there were more aspects that he wanted to highlight about the good treatment he received from the doctors at such a delicate moment. Although it is not the first time that she has undergone surgery, she pointed out that she was already the fifth, she had the help of a person who helped her not to panic in the operating room.
“I want to thank Maite Ocaña, who was there looking at me tenderly and caressing me to alleviate the fear that I had in my body,” he said. He recalled at that moment that the first time they operated on him he went into a “panic” and that thanks to her he was able to calm down.
This person has been in all of Pablo Motos’ operations, so he also had very nice words for her: “What he did was hold my hand, caress me and look at me tenderly until the anesthesia made me fall asleep. I assure you, Maite , that look is never forgotten,” he said excitedly.
“I tell it to underline how important kindness is in doctors and nurses at times when patients are defenseless, scared to death and without knowing what will become of us. Surely that is not studied in the race, but I assure you that it is what makes the difference at a time like this”, he said to finish off.
