“For her, Bertín is dead.” This is how forceful the journalist Beatriz Cortázar was during her intervention in And now, Sonsoles last Monday after speaking with Gabriela Guillén, mother of Bertín Osborne’s last child. A blunt statement, but one that shows the model’s level of exhaustion when faced with questions about the artist, who continues to disappear due to his illness just in the days in which she has become a mother.
The last time the Paraguayan model could be seen was last weekend. Visibly overwhelmed and still recovering after giving birth on December 31, the young woman assured that her baby was “the only good thing I have” of everything she is experiencing. Above all, after Bertín Osborne’s incendiary statements in the magazine ¡Hola! last week, in which he insisted that she was not going to “act as a father.”
A situation that only added fuel to the already complicated conflict that the former couple is experiencing, causing Gabriela Guillén to have decided that she does not want to know anything more about Bertín Osborne and, as she confirmed to Cortázar, she considers that for her , the singer “is dead.” Furthermore, she plans to make every effort to ensure that no one talks about her son.
“As far as Bertín is concerned, she is ten times angry. She tells me forceful phrases. She doesn’t want to know anything about that person and she has told me that for her that person has died,” the journalist explained. “She says that she is responsible for all this that is happening to her. She thinks what she has done is cowardly and she does not want anything related to him, nor does he want to be named.”
Gabriela, very nervous, spoke to the media who have been waiting at the doors of her house for months. “I have been super cordial with all of you, but I cannot allow this harassment. I know what your job is, but I can’t take it anymore! I just want to raise my son in peace.”
However, it seems that the media pressure will continue, as the artist has requested a paternity test to confirm that the baby is indeed his son.
While Gabriela Guillén overcomes media harassment as best she can, Bertín is missing due to an illness, which has caused him to cancel his professional commitments. According to the artist’s office, an infection caused her concert scheduled in Alicante for January 8 – previously scheduled for November 18 – to be postponed, since he “barely has a voice to speak.”
