After a year of waiting, the Seville April Fair has returned. The celebration kicked off at midnight this Sunday, with the popular lighting of its lighting. The event will last until Saturday, April 20 at midnight, but there are already many recognized personalities who have traveled to the Andalusian capital to experience the first hours of this day. Some faces that have been seen in Seville have been Victoria de Marichalar, who was accompanied by her friend Tomás Páramo; Francisco Rivera, her daughter Cayetana and her boyfriend, Manuel Vega; or Juan Antonio Ruiz ‘Espartaco’.
The niece of King Felipe VI was seen this Saturday at the Real Maestranza de Caballería in Seville. More than ten thousand people have gathered in a full plaza to see Manuel Escribano, Borja Jiménez and Roca Rey bullfighting. It should be remembered that Victoria de Marichalar is a great follower of bullfighting, and that she also maintains a close friendship with the last mentioned bullfighter.
But the truth is that she is not the only one who has traveled to the place. Radio host Carlos Herrera was also seen at the scene, accompanied by Rocío Crusset. On the other hand, Enrique Solís, current partner of Vicky Martín Berrocal, also attended; the aristocrat Rafel Medina, the former bullfighter Miguel Abellán; Dr. María Ángeles Grajal; widow of Jaime Ostos; and former minister Osé María Michavila, among many others.
During the day this Saturday there were several activities prior to the fair. Before the bullfight began, the 38th Carriage Exhibition of the Seville Capital Fair was inaugurated, in which a proud Sandra Ibarra served as godmother of honor. Last year, the person in charge of carrying out this role was Tana Rivera, daughter of Fran Rivera and Eugenia Martínez de Irujo. Like every year, the Fair has become a display of glamor and recognized faces.
More than 200,000 light bulbs will illuminate the fairgrounds this year, in a 275,000 square meter site full of color, music and lots of food. On the other hand, during the early hours of this Sunday, everyone was able to enjoy the Sevillian duo Los del Río, in charge of lighting at midnight the beautiful portal that inaugurated one of the most deeply rooted traditions in our country.
