The actor Rodolfo Sancho has visited his son Daniel Sancho for the second time this Thursday in the prison of Koh Samui, in Thailand, where the young man has been imprisoned since last August 7 awaiting trial. Little by little, new details and graphic materials are revealed that add to the file of this gruesome case.
This Thursday it was the Mañaneros program that brought to light a new relevant photograph, as it is one of the first images that have been seen of the few hours that Edwin Arrieta and Daniel Sancho spent together on the island of Koh Phangan. A few hours after the crime became known, security images were broadcast in which they appeared together, but this new private photograph would be from Arrieta’s cell phone.
According to the chronology that local media were considering, Daniel Sancho arrived in Thailand on July 30 and on the island of Koh Phangan on August 1. Surgeon Arrieta joined him a day later. It was that same night of their meeting when the Colombian was killed in the hotel room they shared. After that, it was Sancho himself who reported two days later, on the night of Thursday, August 3, the disappearance of the Colombian at the Koh Phangan police station, and there he began to be interrogated as a suspect on Friday.
Sancho, 29, will remain in this prison at least until the trial begins. While in Spanish prisons the visiting regime is much more restrained, in Thailand you can visit prisoners daily. This was the case a few weeks ago with Sancho’s mother, Silvia Bronchalo, who traveled to Thailand to visit her son. And this week she is doing the same with his father, Rodolfo Sancho, who this Thursday visited him for the second time.
In line with the statements he made last Tuesday to EFE, the actor has once again reiterated his respect for the Thai Justice and explained that he was waiting for the Prosecutor’s report. “Until that moment we can’t do anything else,” he added on this matter.
