The unexpected death of Silvia Tortosa on March 22 fell like a bucket of cold water on the media, but even more so the fact that the actress left her husband, producer Carlos Cánovas, out of her will, despite been together for 17 years. A situation that became complicated after Cánovas’ alleged infidelity became known, which is why he was left out of the last wishes of his wife, due to a clause that the actress rightly added before she died.
A “serious breach of marital duties” that Cánovas carried out with Marina Lozano, his new partner, with whom the actress’s widower has already been seen in a very complicit attitude in public and which photographers dedicated to the chronicle have already captured social.
This is shown on the cover of Semana magazine, with Cánovas and his new girlfriend dedicating all kinds of kisses, hugs and gestures of affection to each other regardless of what they will say. The producer and his new partner give free rein to love; a relationship that began, apparently, before the death of the remembered artist.
“He has been lucky that Silvia was very discreet with her personal life and did not even want it to be known that she had separated, much less the reason,” stated the representative of the actress, just a few days after her death.
Carlos Cánovas and Marina Lozano are living a normal life, like any couple, oblivious to any gossip. Together they enjoy romantic and family plans… Any time is good to share their love, laughter, confidences and happiness. They do not hide and enjoy this new personal stage, far from media harassment.
A death that was also mentioned by her then husband, who gave some heartfelt statements to the newspaper ABC in which he assured that everything had been “very unexpected”, after “some terribly hard years in every sense.” Even so, she wanted to praise herself: “I am left with those beautiful moments that we have had.”
A somewhat complicated reality, since now it is known that they had separated. The actress, very jealous of her private life, never made a drama of her separation after almost two decades with her partner, nor of the depression she suffered as a result of the disloyalty she discovered thanks to hiring a detective. private.
Cánovas was then – confirmed by himself – in a relationship with the actress Marina Lozano, whom the couple met in 2016 while the actress was hosting the series Centro Médico on TVE, their world fades away. On November 30, 2023, the marital relationship breaks down and Cánovas leaves the house. Months later, Silvia Tortosa dies and the producer was left out of the will. He, indifferent, declared bluntly: “I don’t need your money.”
Her widower, as far as is known, may have a right to a Social Security pension, since the actress’s marital status was, as of April 16, “judicially separated”; despite information indicating that the marriage had not been officially registered in Spain after it was officiated in the United States. Of course, as long as she does not marry again.
