The covers of gossip magazines have left a headline that will surely give people something to talk about in the coming weeks. As this week’s edition of Lecturas has confirmed, Bertín Osborne will be a father for the sixth time in his life, at the age of 69.
On this occasion, his partner María Gabriela Guillén, also known as Gabi, is three months pregnant. He will be the seventh child of the renowned singer and presenter, but not the first out of his marriage to his ex-wife Fabiola Martínez, who has reacted to the news.
The native of Maracaibo is the mother of her two young children: Kike, who was born prematurely and with cerebral palsy, and Carlos. The couple have been separated since 2021, when they announced the end of their marriage after twenty years of relationship. Since then, Osborne has shared moments and experiences with several of the “fifty friends” that she presumed to have, but she has always maintained a friendly relationship with Fabiola and her little ones. Martinez’s response is consistent with that cordiality.
Diez Minutos magazine has asked the mother of Kike and Carlos about this information that appeared today on the covers, and has shown that it does not hold any kind of grudge against the artist. The presenter’s ex-partner wished happiness at this new stage that was opening up for him and, above all, “that he enjoy this new fatherhood very much.” Fabiola’s is just one of the many reactions that will arise regarding this news in the next few hours.
Bertín Osborne’s paternity at 69 years of age has caught more than one by surprise. The singer recently stated that he was determined to live this new stage of his life “as he pleases”, but his relationship with Gabi radically changed his situation. The two met in April 2022, when they were the protagonists of an advertising campaign for the fashion firm El Capote. Since then they have been seen together on many occasions, although only talking about her as her friend.
This will be Bertín’s seventh child, after the two previous marriages with Sandra Domecq and Fabiola Martínez. This new paternity comes after many denials, both from a sentimental relationship with Gabi and from wanting to lead a different lifestyle. Her words angered her ex-wife Fabiola, who gave advice to the young woman, with whom she met during the birthday party of José Luis López, alias “El Turronero”. “If I were Gabriela, she would be offended by Bertín, because he denies it,” she commented at the time.
