On a night full of rhythm and good humor, the renowned Spanish musical duo, Estopa, illuminated the stage of ‘La Resistencia’, the popular interview program hosted by David Broncano for Movistar Plus. The set was filled with the characteristic energy of the brothers David and José Manuel Muñoz, who shared anecdotes, laughter and, of course, their unmistakable music.

“Wow guests! My mother! If anyone needs no introduction it’s these people. Today in ‘La Resistencia’: Estopa!”, Broncano announced. The audience received the band with a loud ovation and hits on the bass drum. In a conversation between friends, Estopa and Broncano chatted about their last meeting at a concert: “That day I confused C. Tangana’s father with the foreign minister (José Manuel Albares).”

They also talked about their experience as criers at the Cornellà de Llobregat festivities: “We paid tribute to the bars of our childhood.” And the Muñoz brothers grew up on both sides of the bar, although today, their establishment “has been bought by a Chinese.” Without knowing how or when, the three ended up with a meter measuring their heads; although it didn’t stop there and they invited a spectator from the public to the improvised (and surreal) competition.

David Broncano asked the brothers if they were thinking of retiring like Andy

Estopa also presented his tour, announcing concerts at the Cívitas Metropolitano in Madrid and the Estadi Olímpic in Barcelona: “No Spaniards have played at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, ??all guiris,” David proudly reported.

The Muñoz brothers answered the classic questions of ‘La Resistencia’: “We couldn’t tell you the amount, but every time we blink it would be 1,000 bucks.” For his part, David answered the question about the frequency of sexual relations: “We fuck every day, zero times.” “I didn’t fuck for 9 years, but after communion it was non-stop,” José added, amused.

Before closing the interview, David said that when he was a child he shared a room with his brother José and they both stayed awake waiting for the other to fall asleep to “play solitaire.”

As a farewell, in addition to performing ‘The Slit in Your Skirt’, they sang ‘The Day You Leave’. Piece of night!
