Enrique del Pozo is in love again. A confession that catches his followers by surprise, because until a few weeks ago he still shared his life with what everyone thought was his partner, the athlete Rubén Sánchez Montesinos. The couple even had wedding plans, scheduled for December 2022.

The television collaborator defines himself as a “phoenix” in 2024, and reappears renewed at all levels. He has new professional projects, and apparently fortune also smiles on him in love.

The actor confesses this week to journalist Iván Reboso in Semana magazine, sharing that his relationship with Sánchez ended, in part because of everything that happened after the bodybuilder’s time on Supervivientes. “It was not because of his participation in the contest, but everything that happened had a lot of influence,” he explains, although he insists that Rubén Sánchez “is a wonderful person” who did not deserve the “disdainful campaign” he received from some media.

Despite the breakup, the two seem to maintain a cordial relationship. However, the singer is not single, because his heart is occupied by another man. “I’m with a politician,” he reveals. “Right now I don’t want to and he doesn’t want to be part of this.”

The collaborator has learned what the price is of exposing himself to the media and revealing this very private part of life, which is why they have decided to keep their relationship in a discreet background. At least for the moment.

“You pay a very high price,” insists del Pozo, who is also aware that one day they will be caught on the street. He does not plan to hide, but he will not be the one to make an exclusive revealing the details of his private life either.

“That they will catch us one day? I imagine so. And we will respond with love,” he says. Of course, for the moment, that day will not come. They have only been in a relationship for two and a half months, so it is still early for any presentation. “Let’s go slow”.

The actor returns to Spain after years living in Italy, where he has been working tirelessly. “There are many things that people don’t know about me,” he says. For this reason, there are already those who are interested in writing his biography and bringing to light his entire story, from his time with Enrique and Ana, to the nights with Capote at Studio 54 or his life in London in the 1970s. 70; to the Spanish Movida and its current stage.

According to del Pozo, the topic of biography would be practically closed. “I also want a series,” he says. “There is a great lack of knowledge about me. It’s brutal.”
