These have been very hard days for the family of sociologist and journalist Lorenzo Díaz. As confirmed yesterday by Onda Cero, the medium where he worked for years, the writer died last Tuesday, December 12, at the age of 79. At the moment the causes of his death are unknown.

His death has shocked hundreds of radio and communication workers in general, since Díaz was highly respected in journalistic newsrooms. It should be noted that the man from La Mancha had a great reputation and that he won countless awards during his career: two Ondas awards, three Golden Antennas, the National Gastronomy Award, the Madrid Chamber of Commerce Award, the Award for the best book on communication, etc.

The loss of Concha García-Campoy’s husband and father of her children Lorenzo and Berta has left the young people broken, who already had to say goodbye to their mother in 2013. While Berta has not spoken yet, Lorenzo has dedicated to his father a heartbreaking publication on Instagram.

The young Mediaset journalist has opened his heart on the photo and video platform and has shared with his audience some of the best moments he shared with the legendary announcer.

”It breaks me in two to think that our furtive getaway to Vallecas yesterday was our last trip together. But, perhaps aware of what would come sooner rather than later, we never hid the I love yous, the hugs and the kisses. I remain calm with that and with how you left, without making a damn noise, as always,” the young man wrote in the post.

The communicator made it clear that they have had a great time together and that they have laughed a lot over the years and decided to close the publication by opening up and showing how much he loved his father: ”We have loved each other a lot. This destroys me, more than I imagined, but again I will be able to hold on to the good, which is everything. For you and for your ‘onion’, to whom we will tell that he had an only grandfather.”

The young journalist became a father just a few months ago, which is why he feels closer to his family than ever. It should be noted that he always publicly defended his father and showed his admiration and affection for the man.

In a matter of hours, the Instagram post has been filled with comments and messages of respect and love for García Campoy and his family. As can be seen, different colleagues from the world of communication (Christian Gálvez, Roberto Brasero, Isabel Jiménez, etc.) wanted to dedicate some nice words to the young man and his late father.
