Elisabeth Gutiérrez, ex of William Levy, speaks for the first time about their separation: ''He was the love of my life''

William Levy has become one of the great protagonists of international news. A little over a week ago it came to light that the Cuban actor and his wife, Elisabeth Gutiérrez, had decided to separate after more than 20 years of marriage and two children together, Christopher and Kailey, 18 and 14 years old, respectively.

The news caused a stir among the followers of the Café con aroma a mujer interpreter, despite the fact that many predicted the couple’s divorce after their marital crisis. However, the situation, far from going unnoticed, took a radio turn this past weekend when a video was leaked in which the police are seen entering the couple’s marital home to kick out the actor’s lover.

Two weeks before these new revelations, William Levy’s former wife gave her first interview to Hola! magazine. USA in which she spoke loud and clear about her controversial divorce and the reasons that led the couple to put an end to a story of more than two decades.

”I always bet on my relationship. I loved William, it’s no secret that he was the love of my life. We lived many moments together for 20 years, but currently we are not together,” he began by saying through tears. Shortly after, the model confirmed that “it was not because of a lack of love,” but because they were no longer the same as they were 20 years ago.

”We want different things, but I will always love him and I will always want to see him happy. But there are things that if they don’t change, you have to change. “That was the option I had to make,” he asserted. In addition, the actor’s ex-partner was also emotional when talking about his role as a woman and mother. ”I see a woman who fights, who confronts, who is silent, who protects, who loves. But I also see a strong woman, who loves herself, who knows she wants it or doesn’t want it,’ she said.

But although these statements suggest that their relationship could be cordial, the actor’s latest movements show the opposite. And as the TardeAR program revealed, William Levy would have blocked his wife’s bank accounts. ”She has cut off absolutely everything. “He has left him without bank accounts and without a credit card,” commented journalist Álex Rodríguez.
