Mediaset España and the production company Bulldog TV, linked to the communication group, are finalizing the details for the next premiere of what is one of Telecinco’s big bets for the new year 2024: Dancing with the stars. The dance competition returns to television after a first stage on TVE in 2018 and the successful broadcast of its predecessors Mira qué baila and Más que baile in the past.
With just a few weeks left until the first broadcast takes place, which will take place next Saturday, January 13, the format that Jesús Vázquez and Valeria Mazza will present already has the first names confirmed as part of its cast. They are the former soccer player Miguel Torres, current partner of Paula Echevarría; and the singer Mala Rodríguez.
Designer Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada will be added to these names as a star signing, according to Algo Pasa TV on social networks. And now, a new confirmation comes from information published exclusively by Yotele: Elena Tablada, David Bisbal’s ex-partner and mother of her eldest daughter Ella, will also be part of the dance format.
The news comes in the midst of Tablada’s conflict with her ex-husband Javier Ungría over custody of Camila, the daughter they both have in common. She will mark the return of the Madrid native to television after a brief adventure in Come dine with me: Gourmet Edition, last year 2018.
The information that Yotele has learned exclusively goes one step further, and is that, in addition to the signing of Elena Tablada, Mediaset would also be closing an agreement with Pocholo Martínez-Bordiú to join Dancing with the Stars. In this way, the television actor would become part of the program after he was about to sign for GH VIP 8, an agreement that was frustrated at the last minute.
Telecinco’s new format consists of the weekly preparation of a dance number by different famous faces, helped by a professional team. On the day of the gala, which will be Saturday during prime time, they will have to defend it before a jury that will decide whether it will continue or be nominated. Viewers will have the final say in evicting a contestant each week.
