Daniel Sancho was not transferred to the cell the night he went to the police: he slept with three officers at the crime scene

Daniel Sancho has been testifying in the Koh Samui court for more than three hours for the crime of Edwin Arrieta. Rodolfo Sancho’s son is accused of having murdered and dismembered the Colombian surgeon in Thailand and he himself is offering his version before the judge. A shift that started at 1:00 p.m. in the Asian country and is still continuing.

And it is just today that the first images of the detainee inside the van, dressed in the orange jumpsuit and handcuffed to the roof of the vehicle, have also come to light. At the same time, several new pieces of information have emerged about what happened on the first day that Sancho spoke to the police after what happened.

The program Let’s see is one of the programs that have done the most coverage on the case throughout these months. And one of his reporters has confirmed information that has surprised those present on the set: “Three police officers spent the night with Daniel at that crime scene even before all the biological evidence was collected.”

The journalist has stated that he has been collating this information for several weeks and that the Thai police have assured him that “they are authorized to accompany the suspects anywhere.” Information that he has tried to confirm with all parties.

This occurred the same day that Rodolfo Sancho’s son went to report the disappearance of Edwin Arrieta. Although he had not yet confessed anything, the agents already had suspicions that he could be the alleged perpetrator of the crime. “Instead of keeping him in the cells of the Koh Phangan police station, they took him directly to the bungalow that he had rented and where everything supposedly happened,” the reporter added.

“Daniel sleeps in the main room, and those three police officers in the living room, on the sofa and the two bunk beds. The next day they collect Edwin Arrieta’s DNA in the bathroom and in the pipes. The police even place a camera in the air conditioned in case they left Daniel alone,” he continued.

A situation that becomes more serious considering what happened that same night. As Joaquín Prat has added, it was at that moment when “the knife that Sancho would have supposedly used to dismember the body disappeared and which appears several weeks later.”

A key piece of evidence that ends up being discarded, since the chain of custody was broken. And when he appeared and was analyzed, it was seen that he not only had DNA from Daniel and Edwin, but from an unknown third person. Now, it remains to be seen how the case will evolve.
