“We are going to exclusively offer the testimony that everyone was looking for: the voice that we all wanted to hear.” This is how forceful the summer program began this Monday at the hands of the journalist Beatriz Archidona on Telecinco.

As the program progressed a few moments ago, one of the journalists has managed to speak by phone with Daniel Sancho, the chef and son of the Spanish actor Rodolfo Sacho, who is arrested and accused of allegedly murdering and dismembering the Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta.

So far, the only statements by Daniel Sancho are those collected by the EFE news agency. In them, let us remember, the son of Rodolfo Sancho, who is currently traveling to Thailand to meet his son again, confirmed that he was the author of the murder of the Colombian surgeon. “I am guilty,” he said during a conversation in front of his Thai public defenders and several officers at the Koh Phangan police station, where he is being held.

However, the Spaniard tried to justify himself with: “But I was Edwin’s hostage. He held me hostage. It was a glass cage, but it was a cage. He made me destroy the relationship with my girlfriend, he has forced me to do things that he would never have done ”.

From there, Daniel recounted what happened between him and Arrieta: “He was obsessed with me. He deceived me, he made me believe that what he wanted was to do business with me, put money into the company of which I am a partner. That we do things together, that we go to Mexico, Chile, Colombia, to open a restaurant. But it was all a lie. The only thing he wanted was me, to be his boyfriend.

Since then, various information about the chef has emerged: from the images of the Spaniard in the company of the Colombian to the day he bought a knife, garbage bags and cleaning products before the crime.

This Monday, in a first preview, the morning broadcast an excerpt from the conversation between the chef and the editor Patricia López. “I’m fine, the police treat me very well,” Sancho began by saying. In fact, the chef has confirmed to the program that he was “dining with them at the best hotel on the island. It’s Anantara.”

Information that has completely upset López, who immediately asks him: “Aren’t you under arrest?” To which Sancho, he confirms that he indeed was. “I am surrounded”, he pointed out, “in other words, they have brought me here because they have closed the case”. To finish this first excerpt from the conversation, the Spaniard could be heard saying: “And tomorrow I am with twenty people in a cell.”

This good treatment by the police was due to the good behavior of Daniel Sancho. “They told me: ‘We are used to people trying to escape or attempting suicide and you have not done it,'” he explained. In addition, he has confirmed that another of his advantages: being able to use his mobile phone “for a while”. “But I also believe that tomorrow I am going to jail”, he continued.

The journalist Patricia López also wanted to explain the perception she had when speaking with Sancho. “I noticed him very robotic, very serene and very sure of what he was telling me. As if he wasn’t worried about anything,” she said. “He told me that the first thing he wanted to achieve was to return to Spain”, she has continued.

Despite the call being cut off at one point, the journalist tells how Daniel Sancho continued to explain his testimony through WhatsApp messages. “He told me that he already knew what Colombia was and what a man with 100 million dollars was capable of doing,” explained the Spaniard about Edwin Arrieta.
