Dani Alves, a well-known former footballer for FC Barcelona and the Brazilian national team, has taken an important turn in his career after leaving prison. Since last March 25, when he was provisionally released after paying bail of one million euros, Alves has started a new business to rebuild his work and financial life.
Alves founded OQP Sport
Previously, Alves had already ventured into the business world with various companies, including Flashforward Group, a representation agency for soccer players that he founded with his ex-wife Dinorah Santana. They were also partners in Cedro Esports, focused on the management of image rights for athletes. However, not all of his initiatives were successful, as four of his six companies closed between 2019 and 2021, including his restaurant chain, Alquimia Fogo, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite business challenges, Alves has found success in the fashion world. He founded clothing store DM3 Fashion Moda and launched his own eyewear brand, Bam Bam, before moving to Italy to join Juventus. In addition, he created Treendbam Look Society, a company dedicated to the marketing of fashion products.
The former footballer has also faced significant legal problems. Last February, he was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for sexual assault, although he is currently on provisional release while awaiting a final resolution of the case. During this time, he has had to hand over his passports and appear weekly before the Barcelona Court.
