The Dani Alves case is one of the most important issues today. The soccer player was arrested almost three months ago for an alleged rape of a 23-year-old girl in Sutton, a famous nightclub in Barcelona. It all happened last December and after the victim’s complaint, the player was arrested on January 20.
After the news broke, new information did not stop coming out every day that passed about the case. And that is what happened in the program Y ahora Sonsoles, presented by Sonsoles Ónega. The journalist gave way to one of her collaborators who had exclusive material on the case, with one of her most important statements, that of her friend Bruno Brasil.
Dani Alves’ friend has been one of the few who has visited the footballer in prison and witnessed what happened last December at the Barcelona nightclub. All this occurs just 72 hours after he testifies again.
“Dani spoke with everyone, like me, but more with her (the victim), who approached him, at times dancing and brushing against each other, drawing his attention,” declared the player’s friend. ”I also remember that at a given moment of the night Dani separated from her to talk to other friends and it was this same young woman who approached him again. They went in and out separately and about 15 minutes passed,” he was saying. Bruno Brasil was referring to the bathroom where the rape allegedly occurred.
The statements of the friend of the Brazilian did not end there. ”We spoke all normal, nothing strange was said. When leaving the bathroom, she gave me a ‘give me 5’ (high five) and her cousin gave me a kiss on the cheek,” she declared. A word with which Brun Brazil tries to defend his friend and destroy the victim’s testimony. “The strategy couldn’t be more clear than wanting to discredit this woman,” Sonsoles Ónega confessed.
On Monday, April 17, Dani Alves will testify before the judge, at the defense’s own request. The player’s lawyer will not ask for his release, he will only take his statement again. In the new statement the player will say that he has lied in the only court statement he has made because he wanted to save his marriage. He will also attach a forensic report of more than 150 pages, since each of the frames of the disco will be analyzed. And on Tuesday his lawyers will ask for the freedom of the footballer.
