Marta López Álamo is experiencing a dream end of the year. Since she said ‘I do’ with Kiko Matamoros on June 2 after four years of relationship, both are at their best, both professionally and personally. The couple has thousands of followers on social networks and the model delights them by showing them small details of their daily lives, told in first person.

What perhaps was not expected is that something as everyday as the shopping basket would become the center of controversy. The model and influencer decided to open the kitchen and pantry doors to show her weekly shopping and how she and her husband feed themselves, but what her followers saw of her earned her a whole wave of criticism.

Foods such as bottled egg whites, which “can’t be missing” in your refrigerator, popcorn, cereals without gluten or sugar, yogurt, vegetable milk, syrups, protein jellies, turkey breast that “you don’t usually eat” without fat or salt, turkey jerky, rice pancakes, legume and organic pasta, natural nuts, Konjac noodles with zero calories, nut cream, coffee, infusions, matcha tea…

A pantry in which there are no potatoes, pasta or rice; Well, as Marta López explains, she does not usually consume that type of carbohydrates. This does not happen with vegetables, fruits and vegetables, of which your refrigerator is full. Of course, they normally consume it raw.

The influencer’s freezer is full of meat, especially beef, and fish, mainly blue. Now, only to consume “from time to time.” Deep-frozen vegetables are also a staple in your freezer, because when you travel a lot you can’t keep an eye on fresh vegetables and you don’t like to waste food.

In addition, she and her husband have a “treat drawer,” where they keep those foods that they let themselves be seduced by from time to time: chocolate ice creams with proteins, fruit ice creams infused with alcoholic beverages… “For a whim of once in a while, it’s okay.” Separately is the supplements drawer: collagen, protein…

“I try to eat as clean and healthy as possible at home, because I go out to eat a lot,” explains the model, who also claims that she usually consumes pasta on her outings and pays less attention to what she eats.

What seemed like two totally innocent videos by the model, who simply wanted to show her followers what she keeps in her pantry and what foods she usually buys, soon became a kind of pitched battle between social network users. social workers, who did not hesitate to question their diet and the products the couple consumed, describing them as “unhealthy.”

“Do you consider that food?” one of them asked, seeing that the model basically eats snacks and supplement shakes. “Is that a purchase? If there is nothing to eat,” “And the real purchase, the one that feeds – meat, fish, vegetables, legumes, etc. – When do you upload it?” others ask, perhaps expecting a third video.

What’s more, the influencer has received a lot of criticism for this comment, as they wanted to remind her that many of her followers may be suffering from some type of eating disorder. “I hope you girls are not watching this video and are left with this message, good nutrition yes, but you have to eat everything,” said another, adding: “Please, responsibility.”
