Cristina Saavedra, LaSexta news presenter, has had to face an extraordinarily difficult life challenge for three years. In all this time, the journalist has been hit by tragedy up to four times, losing her godmother, grandmother and her two sisters.
The communicator, broken with pain, decided to stay away from television for a few months, until she returned somewhat more recovered and with the conviction that “only love soothes pain.” Her strength is notable for those around her, and that is why her brother Kiko has dedicated an emotional message to her on social networks on the occasion of the journalist’s 48th birthday.
“Congratulations! She is the person who unites everything,” writes the presenter’s brother, who adds that Saavedra “has it all.” “I can’t love her more. My sister,” she concludes, making it clear how united they are, accompanying her tender message with a beautiful song by Alejandro Sanz and Jarabe de Palo, I love her to die.
The message did not go unnoticed by the birthday girl, who responded to her brother through the social network itself, sharing the heartfelt message for her more than 61,400 Instagram followers.
“It’s my brother’s congratulations. With this little piece of song that plays. Life stole a lot from us but left it to me to keep me going. I love you infinitely,” writes the journalist, excited. “I love you to infinity and beyond,” Kiko Saavedra corresponded in this new publication.
Some messages between siblings where they demonstrate the love they have for each other and that have managed to move thousands of users of the social network, in addition to making dozens of well-known people and friends of the journalist react, such as Mamen Mendizábal or Sandra Sabatés.
Kiko Saavedra has become one of the fundamental pillars of the journalist’s life. The two brothers had to face the loss of their two sisters, their godmother and their grandmother almost successively.
In the summer of 2020, the communicator lost her godmother to Covid. The following year, the brothers said goodbye to her grandmother and, a few months later, her little sister died at the age of 50 as a result of cancer. The tragedy did not end there, because just a year later, her older sister also lost her life as a result of the same disease.
In addition, Kiko almost lost his sister Cristina after being hit by a car in 2017, while crossing a pedestrian crossing with his nephew.
Hard moments, in which the communicator’s partner, sports journalist Manu Carreño, has also played a fundamental role. Together for more than two decades, your support has been key to getting through these very difficult times.
