In two months Cristina Pedroche will bring a new life to the world. The presenter, married to chef Dabiz Muñoz since 2015, will give birth to her first daughter between July and August, if all goes well. And it is that the renowned television face will resort to an unusual and well-known method for the decisive phase, known as ‘hypnobirthing’. Given the doubts that this concept has generated among her followers and society, Pedroche has come out to explain it.
As she has told in ‘Zapeando’, currently the former collaborator of ‘I know what you did…’ are taking a course in this technique, in which hypnosis does not play any determining factor. “It is not that nobody hypnotizes you. It is to control your breathing and do a lot of meditation”, she has pointed out in the La Sexta program. In addition to this, she has used another curious term that has caught the attention of viewers and users of social networks: “uterine waves”.
According to his words, Pedroche will not go through any type of contraction, but through these waves. The concept, after his explanation, has a more metaphysical air: “The wave comes, I catch it and surf it. Nature gives me a few minutes to be calm, relax, and then catch another wave. Maybe I don’t have to get an epidural â€, he commented, inquiring into the connection that this technique has with meditation and how it differs from a normal and ordinary natural birth.
The idea of ”hypnobirthing” has raised doubts and controversy on social networks, but Pedroche has distanced himself from the controversy and has shown his happiness for the upcoming birth of his future daughter. The presenter says that during pregnancy her physical condition works in a segmented way: “There are days when I wake up wanting to take on the world, I can train, go out, go in, have meetings, everything is going great for me and there are other days when I get up and from the bed to the sofa.
Despite this, she is clear that her life will change completely after the birth and she feels prepared. “A baby, the only thing she needs is the love of her parents, my tit and dodotis. Then we’ll see. I want to co-sleepe, breastfeed… I’m not overly concerned about having the high chair, the bathtub… â€, were her words, in anticipation of the purchases that she will have to make in the coming months. And throughout this journey, by her side, she has the unconditional support of Dabiz Muñoz.
Pedroche has been full of compliments towards her husband, whom she fully trusts for this new stage in their lives. “Just with me holding on is a wonderful help, this goes up and down, suddenly I cry, I laugh, I get angry… controlling hormones is complicated”, commented the television star, in addition to highlighting all the good things that the chef brings him in terms of food and sports, even if he admits that it is just walking.
