The most popular dating space on the small screen broadcast one of its most special programs on Wednesday night. And Cristina Zapata, one of the First Dates twins, decided to go to Cuatro’s restaurant to find love. This was made known to Carlos Sobera himself a few months ago, but it was not until today, February 21, when Cuatro viewers were finally able to enjoy one of the most anticipated dates of the dating-show.
The 45-year-old single woman entered the restaurant nervous and very excited about the moment she was about to experience. ”How strange everything is,” she declared as soon as she crossed the door. Her sister, Marisa Zapata, and Matías Roure were on the other side of the bar, eager for Cristina to really find her better half. ”I’ve been watching people fall in love for almost 8 years. “I trust the team, I feel at home,” she declared. After two years of being single, she was now more than ready to try her luck on the show.
”For me she is a sister and when you love someone so much you want the best for that person and I hope she finds someone as special as her,” commented Matías Roure after accompanying the single woman to her table. Moments later, Víctor, a 43-year-old aeronautical testing technician from Madrid, who came to First Dates to meet Cristina exclusively, entered through the door. ”She seems like a very outgoing and very nice girl to me. “I think we can make a good couple,” he declared.
After a short chat with Carlos Sobera, the presenter accompanied the bachelor to the table, where the bachelorette was waiting for him. The first impression between both of them was very good. ”That Víctor has taken the step to meet me seems like a tremendous gesture of generosity and courage,” she commented.
The evening began with the couple talking about their great hobbies. ”He likes to do fun things in life and I think we could get along well because sharing is living,” Cristina declared. Shortly after, the single woman said that she had a complicated relationship with her ex-partner two years ago and since then she had not been able to fit in with anyone. ”I think we are at the same point and we are looking for the same thing,” Víctor confessed.
At one point during dinner, Cristina confessed that she had had a mental health problem, but that she had managed to overcome it. ”Getting out of such a strong mental problem requires a lot of work,” she commented. ”She is a feisty girl, who knows how to ask for help, she allows herself to be advised. And that is worthy of admiration and value,” said the bachelor.
However, Cristina was not feeling that romantic connection to start a beautiful love story, despite the good conversation they had and their points in common. ”I wish I had felt that connection because she is a fantastic person,” she said. Therefore, in the final decision, Cristina was clear and rejected the bachelor.
