Users on social networks have come across a viral video in recent hours that has not gone unnoticed. These are images that feature the presenters of a news program from Albania. All of them are dressed in a jacket and with nothing else under it, revealing part of her breasts, something that has been interpreted by many as a macho act to scratch the audience. However, as the owner of the chain reveals, reality has nothing to do with this hypothesis.

This idea arose a few months ago, and soon after it ended up being implemented. Since then, the audience data has risen considerably, but after the media uproar, the owner of the Zjarr Television chain, Ismet Drishti, has come forward to reveal why this idea arose. “This way of dressing is symbolic. We have assumed the mission of telling people the uncensored truth, the naked truth,” he explains, in a statement collected by Mundo Deportivo.

As Drishti explains, they do it to show “informational transparency”. “My presenters do not go naked. They have the same neckline as that of the Albanian representative, Elhaida Dani, in Eurovision 2015. Who decides that a large neckline is allowed in a show and not in the news?” asks Drishti, who It already proposes other measures, such as the use of transparent suits. Some measures that are as controversial as commented.

For their part, the presenters of the chain have also raised their voices after the controversy that arose around their way of dressing before the cameras. “I’m very happy with my job,” says presenter Greta Hoxha. “I do it with desire. I don’t see anything strange. The girls take their nudity out for pleasure on Facebook, while I do it for serious work,” explains the journalist.

“This should be prohibited,” comments a user on X (formerly Twitter) when watching a video of the presenters on camera. “If they have chosen it, I will shut up… but if they have been forced against their will… the TV studio can go to hell,” says another. “I do not see it as necessary, I hope it is by his will and not by chain rules,” can be read in another tweet. Many others have joked that this strategy may have increased the channel’s viewership. “It must be the most watched program in the country. Marketing is his passion,” says an Internet user.
