The problems continue for Isabel Pantoja. The judicial process for the alleged non-payment of some 76,000 euros to the newsstand in her neighborhood, Loli Pozo, has surfaced again.
The story goes back years. Loli, who has known Isabel Pantoja since 1983, lent her 86,000 euros in 2014 when the Operation Malaya case broke out, so that the artist could avoid going to prison.
In fact, it was the singer herself who asked her friend for a favor, knowing that the woman had the savings she had accumulated all her life running a kiosk. Of all this money, Pantoja only returned a part of it and since then he has not contacted her.
Without going any further, in October 2021, the singer did not even appear at the conciliation act set by the court. Now, if in 20 days Isabel Pantoja does not respond to the demand, she will declare it in default of proceedings.
“The lawsuit has been filed, but we already know that justice is going slowly,” Loli Pozo explained to Pronto magazine. “I no longer have anything to talk about with her. Now it is my lawyer and justice that have to speak â€, he assured.
“I am having a very bad time. I did not expect to reach this situation, it is very hard and painful,” concluded the newsstand that aspires to recover the savings of a lifetime. “I am convinced that justice will agree with me and that one day it will pay the debt. I don’t want to die without getting paid,” she said.
