Jeremy Renner continues to recover from the dramatic accident that nearly cost him his life, when he was struck by a snowplow last New Year’s Day, breaking more than 30 bones; Injuries so serious that he himself confessed, he came to ask his family not to let him live.

An accident that his companions in the Avengers saga found out about almost immediately and that they did not stop commenting in the chat group that they maintain among themselves. However, some were more affected than others by what happened, such as Chris Hemsworth, who has confessed that his partner’s accident made him reflect and be fully aware of his own mortality.

This has been confessed in an extensive interview with GQ magazine, in which he tells how much he was shocked to learn not only the news of Renner’s accident, but also to realize the true seriousness of the matter.

“We were chatting, and it was wild. Neither of us really knew how serious it was,” says the actor, “I think anything like that, it’s an immediate realization of, ‘wow, any of us can leave at any time… ‘”.

The 39-year-old Thor protagonist admitted that approaching 40 didn’t help too much either, as he actually feels that he doesn’t think he wants to turn 40. “I still feel like I’m 25 and I’ve got a long time. Now I’m like, ‘Oh, I might be halfway there. More than halfway there,'” he laments to himself, “it’s a long time.” The reality of ‘I’m not going to be here forever’ is setting in.”

The actor lives happily with his wife, actress Elsa Pataky, and their three children, India Rose (11), Sasha and Tristan (9); but for a few months, he seems more concerned than ever about the passage of time. Late last year, the Snow White and the Huntsman interpreter also announced that he was taking a break from his acting career after discovering that he is at increased risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

Willing to take all the necessary preventive measures, Hemsworth has opted for a healthy life. however, being aware of the passage of time was taking its toll on him.

Jeremy Renner’s accident shocked all his teammates. The actor was struck by a snowplow early on the morning of January 1 while he was clearing the driveway of his and his neighbors’ houses of snow. The accident led him to break more than three dozen bones and undergo several surgeries, even leaving him with the possibility of never walking again.

However, the interpreter’s determination to recover has paid off. He still has a long road to rehabilitation, but he can get around with the help of a cane.
