El Desafío is one of the toughest programs on the television schedule. In the Antena 3 contest, numerous well-known faces are forced to reach their limits, both physical and emotional. Chenoa, one of the contestants of the fourth edition, has not been able to hide her feelings when having to face apnea, one of the tests most feared by the contestants.
The test was a monumental challenge for her, submerging herself in the water and holding her breath for 3 minutes and 33 seconds. This feat was not only a fight against the clock, but also against her own fears and anxieties.
The host of Operación Triunfo, who has always shown herself to be a strong woman of character, could not help but collapse after leaving the receptacle. “Before entering I was already crying and down there, I was still crying. Because it has been a hard week. I am not aquatic at all. I love the sea and I love to see it. I enjoy looking at it, but I can’t get into the water,” explained the balearic singer
Thus, Chenoa herself reflected on her usual behavior in stressful situations, revealing a deeper part of her personality. “It’s also true that maybe I camouflage the sensitive spot by clowning and being grumpy or something like that, but in reality I have a bad time. I have a pretty bad time and I can’t get past the point of showing it. Maybe I should show it more, but it’s not my thing. style,” he said.
Faced with this situation, Chenoa has found the support of his colleagues and jury. Mar Flores ended up crying after the artist’s confession, while Santiago Segura praised the contestant’s performance: “What’s wrong? Did you want to do 4’40” like Rosa?” The comedian, upon seeing Chenoa completely collapsed giving explanations about how bad she had been, even joked that, despite all the tension, she almost managed to stay “living” underwater.
Roberto Leal, host of the program, also wanted to have kind words for Chenoa. To do this, he cited one of the most famous songs in her discography: “she has a song in which she repeats a lot about ‘I’m human’ and she’s proving it today.” In addition, she revealed that, before starting the recording, they had been talking about how long she was going to be able to last without breathing in the water and, fortunately, Chenoa’s mark easily exceeded the two and a half minutes that she herself considered impossible.
It is understandable that Chenoa could not suppress her tears after overcoming herself, since her last months have been one of many changes in both her personal and professional life.
On the work front, Chenoa has returned to music with enthusiasm with the release of her new single. This return to the music scene has come after almost four years without releasing an album. In addition, she has become the host of the new edition of Operación Triunfo, which is being a success on Amazon Prime Video.
However, it hasn’t gone so well for her personally: she has separated from Miguel Sánchez Encinas after a year and a half of marriage. The couple, who had been together for four years before getting married in Mallorca, have not given specific details about the reason for their separation beyond wear and tear. However, the separation has been on good terms.
