The special OT 2023 Christmas gala, broadcast on the Prime Video streaming platform, has become a very festive night and also one of unexpected incidents. During the gala, in which the contestants of the current edition of Operación Triunfo performed versions of Christmas classics, a small accident captured attention.
In this way, the program, recorded last Thursday, momentarily deviated from its usual schedule when Chiara, one of the contestants, accidentally hit herself with the microphone, which caused her a small injury.
The incident occurred during the exchange of gifts from the invisible friend, a tradition organized by Noemí Galera, director of the Academy. Each contestant received a gift under a majestic Christmas tree and, after their performance, they went to pick it up with Chenoa.
Bea, one of the contestants, upon opening her gift, a traditional English card, quickly identified Chiara, her English partner, as the person who had given it to her. “I signed my name and everything,” said the contestant.
However, Chiara, when speaking, involuntarily hit her mouth with the microphone, which caused a slight hemorrhage. This incident immediately worried Chenoa, who asked, concerned about Chiara’s condition: “Have you hurt yourself? Are you okay?”
Despite the incident, the contestant downplayed it, ensuring that she was fine, although she was bleeding a little: “I got a little blood, but I’m fine.” Martín, one of the contestants who is providing the most content on social networks, was quick to check that everything was in order. “Chiara, really? I’m getting closer, huh. Let’s play the video of the invisible friends and let’s see how Chiara is,” Chenoa said.
The Prime Video music competition has taken a hiatus during these holidays, a period in which audiences are usually more dispersed due to celebrations and family commitments.
The break also gives the Academy students and the rest of the team a well-deserved rest and the opportunity to spend time with their families and loved ones during these important dates.
After this break, the program will resume its regular broadcast, continuing with weekly galas in which the contestants will continue competing and developing their skills. According to the calendar, OT 2023 will resume broadcasting on January 1 with Gala 5, which marks the beginning of the new year’s galas and the continuation of the contest until its conclusion in February.
