A violent incident that took place during the morning rush hour traffic in Dallas was captured on video and has left witnesses in shock. The suspect, Angel Zamora Moreno, 26, from Plano, allegedly went on a rampage on the LBJ Freeway, hitting several cars, stabbing a man, hijacking multiple vehicles, and running over motorists.

Witnesses described the chaotic scene as something they have never experienced before. One witness, Johnathan McCain, mentioned that this event will be remembered for a long time due to its intensity. The series of events began when Moreno crashed into three cars and an 18-wheeler, rendering his own car disabled.

As motorists stopped to assess the damage, Moreno reportedly started attacking people with an 8-inch fix-blade knife that he had in his trunk. He even climbed onto one driver’s windshield, causing significant damage. Another driver tried to intervene with a metal pipe but ended up being stabbed in the stomach and ear by Moreno.

In a desperate attempt to escape, one nearby motorist picked up the stabbed victim to take him to the hospital. However, Moreno chased them and hijacked a TxDOT truck, using it to run over a TxDOT worker who suffered multiple injuries. Moreno then proceeded to run over a medical professional who had stopped to help the injured worker, dragging her across traffic lanes.

Despite Moreno’s attempts to flee the scene by stealing the medical professional’s car, witnesses were able to restrain him until the police arrived. Moreno was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, two counts of unauthorized vehicle use, and one count of criminal mischief. He was taken to the Dallas County Jail.

While public records indicate that Moreno has no prior criminal history, the extent of the violence and chaos he caused on the LBJ Freeway has left the community shaken. The swift response of witnesses and law enforcement helped prevent further harm during this alarming incident. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to gather more information about the events that transpired.
