Carmen Borrego, new confirmed contestant of 'Survivors 2024'

The new edition of Supervivientes is about to kick off on Telecinco. The most popular survival contest on the small screen plans to premiere the new season in the first half of March, although for the moment Mediaset has not wanted to confirm the exact start date of this new adventure in Honduras.

Meanwhile, the Fuencarral network has already confirmed that the presenter will once again be Jorge Javier Vázquez, who after the end of Sálvame and Cuentos Chinos will once again take charge of one of the network’s major formats. But the presenter will not be alone, since he will have the help of Laura Madrueño from Honduras and Carlos Sobera and Sandra Barneda in charge of the Sunday and Tuesday programs.

In addition, the Fuencarral network has also been gradually revealing some of the official contestants who will embark on this complicated Caribbean adventure. Until now, eight names were known: Arantxa del Sol, famous presenter from the 1990s; Javier Ungría, ex-partner of Elena Tablada; Zayra Gutiérrez, daughter of Arancha de Benito and the former soccer player Guti; Arkano, one of the best-known rappers in Spain; Blanca Manchón, world windsurfing champion; Ángel Cristo Jr., son of Bárbara Rey and Ángel Cristo; Lorena Morlote, a very famous celebrity hairdresser and Kike Calleja, journalist and collaborator of Vamos a Ver and Fiesta.

But on Monday afternoon, the Telecinco program Así es la vida revealed to viewers a new official contestant, who will travel to Cayos Cochinos to try to proclaim himself the winner of Supervivientes. As Sandra Barneda’s program revealed, the reality show’s new signing was Carmen Borrego. Terelu Campos’ sister and Telecinco collaborator, who had been keeping the big secret for weeks, confessed to being “scared to death,” but eager to start the adventure.

”I don’t know if I can do it right or wrong, I’ll come back the next day because at least I will have tried. For me the important thing is not to disappoint myself,’ she asserted. Regarding her future colleagues, the collaborator claimed to be very satisfied with the names revealed because they were almost all “unknown” people and with little experience in television contests. ”I don’t know the vast majority of them, but I like that a reality show is finally being made with people who we have never been to one of because sometimes programs are made with people who are very resentful of coexistence,” she commented.

Furthermore, Carmen Borrego confessed that the worst thing she was going to get out of the contest was not knowing anything about her family. ”I am a very annoying mother, I am always aware of my children. Well, not knowing how my children or my husband or my grandchildren are is going to cost me,’ she declared.
