Calvin Harris has become over the years one of the most recognized DJs of recent times. So much so, that he is ranked number 12 for best disc jockeys by DJ Mag magazine. Songs like One kiss, This is what you came for or Summer have earned him more than 11 million followers on social networks.
Looking at his musical career, it is not surprising that he has managed to amass a good fortune, which he has invested in large properties. And it is with one of them that he has had a huge scare due to a spectacular fire.
At 8:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Calvin Harris received a call that made his heart sink: his home in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, was on fire. As reported by the TMZ portal, the mansion was smoking from one of the upper floors. Seeing what happened, a neighbor did not hesitate to call the emergency services.
Given this, a great display of media was carried out that is only seen in movies. 10 fire trucks and more than 20 first aid vehicles rushed to the area to quickly put an end to what was happening.
The emergency decision was so spectacular that the witnesses present narrate how a helicopter moved to the place to fly over the entire area and monitor everything. A somewhat exaggerated maneuver given the reality of what happened: no major damage occurred.
The aforementioned media has revealed that the fire originated on the third floor, specifically very close to the projection room. And thanks to the column of smoke they were able to quickly detect where the fire was coming from and were able to focus all their efforts on extinguishing it so that it did not spread further.
Although they were able to finish everything in about 52 minutes, they had to break part of the ceiling of the second floor to reach the exact location of the focus. Some damages that, between the damage from the fire and those caused by the emergency equipment, could reach 100,000 dollars, which would be just over 90,000 euros. Still, no one was hurt, a positive point in the drama.
Although they are still studying the exact causes of the fire, everything indicates that it was due to an electrical failure. And the flames were near the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. A fact that, if it had not been stopped in time, could have quickly spread throughout Calvin Harris’ mansion, leaving it in ashes.
