Brides in white and red: Edurne and Paddy Noarbe's pre-wedding dress duel in the Balearic Islands

This weekend the Balearic Islands have hosted two of the most outstanding weddings of this season. Paddy Noarbe and Marcos Llorente said ‘yes, I do’ this Friday at a romantic wedding held at the Albercuitx Fortress, in Pollença (Mallorca). For their part, Edurne García and David De Gea will pass by the altar this Saturday, July 1, at Las Canteras de S’Hostal, in Menorca. If both celebrations have something in common, it is that, in addition to being held in the Balearic Islands, they have had their respective pre-weddings. The difference: the dress code has been totally opposite in each of them.

As we said, this Friday, June 30, Paddy Noarbe and Marcos Llorente became husband and wife. The couple celebrated their link surrounded by their loved ones, and in the celebration there was no shortage of recognized faces from the world of sports and social networks. Despite the fact that the wedding was scheduled for this Friday, the couple began the celebrations a day before in the same place. The pre-wedding took place on Thursday. For this event, the bride and groom dressed in red suits, while the guests had to wear white garments.

A very different reality from the one experienced yesterday Friday in Menorca, where David De Gea and Edurne celebrated a pre-wedding in pure Ibizan style with their 80 wedding guests. The couple met in a restaurant near the sea, where they enjoyed a quiet evening in the light of sunset.

In the case of this celebration, the couple asked their guests to attend in white, something they also did. In this color we could see recognized faces such as Santi Millán, Dani Martínez or Risto Mejide dressed. Both couples demonstrated, once again, that it is a common trend to follow clothing guidelines in this type of celebration.

It will be this Saturday when Edurne and David say ‘yes, I want’ surrounded by their loved ones. The preparations for the wedding have been completely secretive, and little is known about her. The wedding will take place in the Canteras de S’Hostal, in Menorca. It is a place with different spaces: labyrinths, gardens and large excavations. Space is one of the most curious enclaves on the island. These are quarries, whose mining operation was closed in the spring of 1994, and consists of different types of stone, such as calcareous or marés stones, whose material was historically used for building construction. In 2017 they were declared an Asset of Ethnological Interest (BIE) by the Menorca Island Council.

Precisely this secrecy would have meant that Edurne had not resorted to any team of stylists to make her wedding dress either. According to some information, the Madrid woman would have declined the option of collaborating with a brand to avoid any type of leak to the press, according to the aforementioned portal. Undoubtedly, the unknown will surround the link, and we will have to wait for more details.
