Last Tuesday, Ángel Cristo Jr. was involved in a tense moment in No Man’s Land when he did not take too well the “gift” from the Survivors 2024 organization for his birthday: a letter from his mother, Bárbara Rey, in which he I apologize personally.
“I don’t need to hear any letters from my mother, I have nothing to hear from my mother,” stated the businessman, from Honduras. Some words that did not sit too well with either his sister, Sofía Cristo, or her mother, who were speaking about the survivor’s harsh reaction.
The Europa Press reporters managed to speak with the former star, who was very direct on the subject, ensuring that she had nothing to say about the letter. “The letter is there, it is for him and for all the people who helped me at the time through my accountant, who was the one who decided it,” she explained, adding that it was because she “doesn’t understand numbers.”
What’s more, Bárbara Rey makes it clear that these apologies are not for all the controversy experienced by her son, but only for what happened at that specific moment. “I do not apologize to my son or to anyone for anything that happened outside of that moment and that situation,” she insists, clarifying that she did not send the letter to the program and pointing to third parties.
The mother of Ángel and Sofía Cristo disassociated herself from the program’s ruse to bring the controversy to prime-time, reiterating that making the existence of that letter known to the world could have been a matter for the organization, although she also pointed out two other possible candidates: Ángel Cristo Jr.’s representative or his current partner, Ana, who defends him on set.
Ana, on the set with Carlos Sobera, referred to the content of the letter, ensuring that she preferred not to talk about it. “Enough is enough, the damage is very strong. Only those who live behind closed doors know what is there and it is difficult for me today to be here for love. I did not want him to go because psychologically I did not see him good to face all this.
“I’m not the least bit interested,” insists the former star. “I don’t care,” she added, trying to make light of the matter. Of course, she confirmed that her son was already aware of the content of the letter, since it was what she demanded to agree on that economic matter.
“As I get older, I am more important, for better or worse,” he concluded, adding that “the important thing is that you talk about me.”
