Actor Andrés de la Cruz, recognized for his role as Boliche in the popular series Los Serrano, has shared a fragment of his life on the El Baúl de la Infancia TV podcast that until now had remained hidden from the public’s eyes. De la Cruz has revealed that there have been occasions in which he has felt excluded and belittled by youth magazines due to his physical appearance: “he is very screwed.”

One of the most shocking experiences recounted by the actor is in relation to an agenda published by Bravo magazine. This agenda, which contained the birthdays of the actors and actresses in the series, curiously, did not reflect De la Cruz’s date of birth.

The interpreter, visibly affected, remembers the moment in detail: “I start looking at the calendar and my birthday doesn’t appear.” Aware of the situation and feeling slighted, Andrés de la Cruz did not remain silent. “I’m not an idiot, I’m not stupid. I know what you are doing,” he recalled that he then exclaimed, addressing one of those responsible for the report.

De la Cruz’s response to this fact was firm: “I just don’t feel like doing the report now.” However, he did end up giving in because he did not want his professionalism to be called into question.

This was not the only rejection he had to face due to his physique. Another situation highlighted by the actor, which highlights the superficiality in certain areas of the entertainment world, is how, on many occasions, he had to be strategically placed in the photographs so as not to be marginalized or directly cropped.

At this point, Natalia Sánchez becomes a key figure. Of the same age as Andrés and being one of the idols of the series, Sánchez showed solidarity and ensured that De la Cruz was not relegated in the images. “They put me in the middle so I wouldn’t appear in the photo. If I went to the side, they took me away,” commented the actor, thanking his co-star for the support.
