It’s all laughter and humor if we think of the Venezuelan presenter and communicator Boris Izaguirre, one of the most histrionic and funniest characters on Spanish television. But not all are roses in the life of the writer, since a year ago, while recording the third season of El Desafío, he suffered a stroke that could have cost him his life.

At the press conference to present the new edition of the Antena 3 program, the person in charge of the program, Jorge Salvador, revealed that the presenter “suffered a stroke during the recordings and needed an important intervention.”

The host later explained why he decided to continue filming the show: “I thought if I didn’t finish doing the show I might go into depression, so you saved me from this when you let me come back,” he told his doctor.

Now, within the framework of the European Day for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases, Izaguirre has connected with the Sonsoles Ónega program to explain what that moment was like and to make an important statement about prevention: “The important thing is to place enormous emphasis on prevention”, he explained very emotionally. “That’s how we discovered this atheroma and then that clot that was lodged in my right carotid.” Now fully recovered, Boris continues to smile and educate the audience about these types of problems.

The final of the next edition of the program presented by Roberto Leal is very close. It will be next Friday, March 17, when we will discover which celebrity wins the contest.

For the first time in the program’s history, four women will fight to be proclaimed winners in the final: Mariló Montero, Rosa López, Ana Guerra and Laura Escanes. The rest of the participants, all men, have not obtained a place to compete for the prize, but they will have a very important role in the last program of the edition.
